OpenAI has officially begun rolling out its next-generation model, GPT-6, introducing a major interface overhaul called Intelligent UI for all ChatGPT users. Instead of generating standard blocks of plain text, the model now delivers responses as dynamic, interactive interfaces complete with graphics, buttons, charts, and forms. The system automatically tailors the layout to the user's prompt, meaning side-by-side comparisons appear automatically and complex explanations can instantly transform into interactive charts. It can even generate functional mini-applications directly inside the chat window, such as savings calculators or simple games. This move follows Google's release of a similar feature called Neural Expressive for its Gemini chatbot in May.

Beyond the visual changes, GPT-6 introduces the ability to respond to queries while it is still actively thinking. OpenAI reports that this real-time processing capability reduces user wait times by 44 percent while simultaneously improving response quality. In internal testing, this progressive generation method allowed GPT-6 to score higher than its predecessor, GPT-5.6, on complex web search tasks.

The model is being released in two distinct versions depending on the user's subscription status. Paying customers on Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise tiers will receive access to GPT-6 Sol, with the global rollout starting today. Free and Go tier users will receive a version called GPT-6 Luna, which is scheduled to launch one day later. For developers and enterprise practitioners, this update shifts the paradigm of conversational AI from passive reading to active workspace collaboration, allowing teams to build and interact with data visualizations and functional widgets on the fly without leaving the chat interface.
