Stockholm-based Lovable has raised $400 million in a Series C funding round, propelling its valuation to $13.3 billion. This figure more than doubles the company's previous valuation of $6.6 billion from last December, when it closed a $330 million Series B round. Silicon Valley venture capital firm Menlo Ventures led the latest round alongside the Europe Scaleup Fund, a public-private vehicle managed by EQT and backed by the European Commission. Other new participants include Balderton Capital, Carmignac, Kaszek Ventures, LTS Growth, Tencent, World Innovation Lab, and Regent, with returning support from Accel, Antler, Capital G, and Salesforce Ventures.

Lovable has emerged as a leader in the vibe coding movement, which leverages automated systems and generative AI to let individuals build functional applications using natural language prompts. The startup's technology has achieved significant scale, with applications built on its platform now drawing 900 million monthly visits. Major enterprise clients, including Adidas, Nvidia, and Deutsche Telekom, are already deploying Lovable to build new software solutions and phase out legacy tools.

For developers and business practitioners, Lovable is shifting from a simple prototyping tool into a robust production environment. The platform has expanded beyond its initial goal of turning ideas into software by integrating payment processing, search engine optimization, AI-driven search tools, automatic security scanning, and deep integrations with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. The new capital will fund more proactive software capabilities that anticipate user intent, alongside an optimized data loop to improve the success rate of user-built applications.

To support these technical advancements, Lovable plans to more than double its workforce, expanding its team from just over 200 employees to approximately 450. While the company will maintain its headquarters in Sweden, it plans to establish a physical presence in key international markets, opening new offices in London, Boston, San Francisco, and New York.
