Trackunit has introduced IrisX, an operating data platform built on the Databricks Data and AI Platform. Designed to resolve the fragmented data landscape of the construction industry, IrisX connects machine signals, operator inputs, and site documentation. Trackunit brings substantial scale to this integration, leveraging 20 years of industry experience, 5,000 customers, and 6 million connected assets across 120 countries, supported by 1,200 connectors and 150 partner marketplace applications.

The platform operates on a three-step framework of connecting, distilling, and amplifying data. By utilizing Databricks Unity Catalog for data governance, IrisX cleans and structures raw telemetry. Users can query the system using natural language to analyze complex variables, such as how engine load affects fuel consumption. Through the Trackunit IrisX MCP, these analytics are embedded directly into Trackunit Manager, allowing practitioners to access insights without switching systems.

To accelerate deployment, Trackunit offers IrisX Blueprints, which are pre-built workflows targeting specific business challenges. For original equipment manufacturers producing roughly 10,000 machines annually, the Battery Management Insights Blueprint can unlock approximately $3 million in yearly value by reducing warranty risks and diagnosing battery degradation. For rental companies, the Out of Contract Usage Blueprint has already identified around $2 million in missed invoices for a mixed fleet of 5,000 units, while boosting customer retention by more than 10%.

For contractors, the Site Performance & Asset Utilization Blueprint addresses fleet imbalances by identifying idle equipment and facilitating data-driven redeployment. This practical application reduces project delays, lowers overtime, and curbs unnecessary rental costs.
