Following a killer State of Play and a dud of a Summer Game Fest, it’s Xbox’s turn to spin the wheel with its own game reveal live stream. The Xbox Games Showcase broadcasts today and it should give us a very clear picture of what the rest of the console’s 2025 will look like. That’s sorely needed, because we know about a lot of games coming to Xbox but we don’t have many release dates for them. That will undoubtedly change today.
What can you expect to see? We know for sure that The Outer Worlds 2 is getting its own dedicated showcase following the stream, so we’ll learn quite a bit about it. It seems likely that first-party games like Gears of War: E-Day will reappear here with new updates. Those foregone conclusions will likely be joined by some big surprises. Rumors of a Persona 4 remake are rumbling, and an Xbox branded handheld has leaked in recent weeks. Both could be headline stories coming out of the show and still be small fish compared to something like The Elder Scrolls VI appearing. If you can’t watch it live, don’t worry. We’re keeping track of every announcement live here.
The Outer Worlds drops on October 29
The Outer Worlds 2 is getting its own full showcase after the Xbox event, but it still kicked off the show here. We got a new trailer for Obsidian’s latest RPG, which showed off its signature anticapitalist satire. We saw plenty of combat too, with lots and lots of shooting. The sequel even has it’s own version of Doom’s BFG. It will launch on October 29.

- High on Life 2 is happening and it has skateboards this time. It launches this winter and is coming to PS5 as well.
