Buccaneers’ Mike Evans: ‘I grew up not liking Tom Brady’

Wide receiver Mike Evans made a great season of his career in 2020 as a quarterback with Tom Brady.

Evans expects 1,006 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns over 70 careers for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which ended with an 11-5 record and will now play its first Super Bowl since 2002.

Evans says he is now a big fan of Brady, but when he was growing up watching football, he was not a fan of the six-time Super Bowl champion and future Hall of Fame quarterback.

“It’s a catching pass from GOAT (the biggest of all time). I never thought I’d get the chance,” Evans said. “I didn’t like Tom Brady when I was a kid because I was a fan of Patton Manning. And now I’m a big fan of Tom Brady. So, it’s great to catch balls from him. ”
