Xiaomi’s MI11 Ultra is finally selling in limited quantities in India. The company announced its latest flagship smartphone back in March, but since then it has been almost impossible to buy one outside of China. The phone went on sale in the UK immediately in May, with very limited stock suggested, and last month the Xiaomi Said The Indian launch will be delayed “due to circumstances beyond our control”.
Now, Xiaomi has announced the details of how people in India will actually be able to buy one as long as they are willing to jump on the bandwagon. Consumers will need to purchase an “Ultra Gift Card”. 1,999 ($ $ 27) on the ME.com website, which can be redeemed later against the price of the MI11 Ultra, and includes some bonuses such as two free screen replacements.
The MI11 Ultra automatically starts at Rs. 69,999 (~ 940) in India. Xiaomi has not said how long the gift cards will be available, how many phones will be available for purchase, or when they will ship, but its release has been described as a “limited sale”. Is.
For Xiaomi’s Mi11 Ultra, its (very good) non-Ultra sibling key selling point is a new camera system. The main camera has a large 1 / 1.12-inch 50-megapixel sensor, and 48-megapixel ultra-wide and telephoto modules. It’s all housed in a huge camera bump with a secondary OLED screen that can act as a viewfinder.
I’ve been using the MI11 Ultra for a while now – stay tuned for our review.
