Apple opens claims for $250 million Siri AI settlement

Apple has opened the claims process for its $250 million class-action settlement regarding delayed Siri artificial intelligence features. United States residents who bought an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any model in the iPhone 16 lineup between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, are eligible to submit a claim. The deadline to file on the official settlement website is December 21, 2026.

Eligible consumers can expect an estimated payout of $25 per device, though this amount could rise up to $95 depending on the total number of claims submitted. To complete the filing, users must provide their name, contact details, and the serial number of their eligible iPhone.

The class-action lawsuit accused Apple of misleading consumers by creating what plaintiffs called a "clear and reasonable consumer expectation" that the advanced Siri capabilities previewed at WWDC 2024 would be available when the iPhone 16 launched. Instead, the hardware debuted with highly restricted features despite marketing that labeled the devices as "built for Apple Intelligence." The fully upgraded Siri was delayed and only recently launched with the release of iOS 27. Apple has denied any wrongdoing in the matter.
