Plaud Unveils Plaud One AI Earbuds for $249.99
Plaud has opened preorders for its $249.99 Plaud One Explorer Edition, a set of AI-powered earbuds designed to record, transcribe, and summarize conversations without needing a phone connection.
Plaud is expanding its AI wearable lineup with the Plaud One Explorer Edition, a pair of earbuds that double as a standalone recording device. Priced at $249.99, the device is currently available for preorder in select markets, with shipping scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. Unlike typical AI pins, the Plaud One can be worn in the ears or operated directly from its charging case, which features built-in 4G connectivity to upload and process audio data without relying on a smartphone or Wi-Fi network.
Each earbud is equipped with 16MB of local storage, providing a combined total of 32MB. They feature three microphones capable of capturing audio from up to two meters away, alongside noise cancellation technology and force-activated sensor controls on the stems. Plaud rates the battery life and recording time for the earbuds at up to six hours.
The accompanying charging case expands these capabilities significantly. It houses four microphones with a five-meter recording range, a built-in speaker, and 512MB of storage. The case extends the total combined battery life of the system to 36 hours and recharges via a standard USB-C port.
On the software side, the device utilizes Plaud Intelligence, a system the company claims is built to "understand and execute on human intent." Users can press a dedicated AI button on the charging case to summon the Plaud Agent. This assistant integrates directly with productivity platforms including Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack, allowing users to manage workflows without switching between different applications.
