ServiceNow Chooses Claude to Power Enterprise Workflows
ServiceNow has selected Anthropic's Claude as its default and preferred AI model, allowing enterprise clients to deploy autonomous agents across billions of annual workflows.
ServiceNow has integrated Anthropic's Claude as the default model for its ServiceNow Build Agent and designated it as a preferred model across its broader AI platform. This integration allows both professional developers and citizen developers to build and deploy autonomous agents using natural language. ServiceNow, which processes over 80 billion workflows annually, expects usage of its Build Agent to quadruple over the next 12 months as a result of this partnership.
For enterprise practitioners, the collaboration aims to slash customer implementation times by 50 percent, accelerating the transition from initial sales conversations to active deployment. In specialized sectors like healthcare and life sciences, ServiceNow is leveraging Claude Opus 4.5—which leads major medical benchmarks—to handle complex tasks such as research analysis and claims authorization. This industry-specific application is projected to reduce claims authorization times from days to hours while lowering operational costs.
Beyond customer-facing applications, ServiceNow is deploying Claude and Claude Code internally to its global workforce of more than 29,000 employees. Technical teams are using Claude Code to write, review, and debug software, accelerating internal development cycles. Meanwhile, sales representatives are utilizing a Claude-powered coaching tool that integrates real-time enterprise data and web search, which has successfully reduced meeting preparation times by up to 95 percent.
By embedding Claude directly into the platform, ServiceNow is shifting AI from an occasional tool to an integrated workflow driver. According to Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, the goal is to make AI "an integral part of how you get work done." This deep integration provides practitioners with advanced reasoning and coding capabilities while maintaining strict enterprise-scale access controls, usage monitoring, and compliance.
